Cara is a Senior Associate in Spire Law’s Planning and Environment team, based in the firm’s Maroochydore office. She advises clients across Queensland on a wide range of planning and environmental law matters.
Cara works with developers, property owners, local governments and individuals navigating land use, development approvals and planning disputes. She brings a thoughtful and analytical approach to complex legal and regulatory issues, helping clients move projects forward with confidence while managing risk.
Cara’s practice encompasses:

Planning and Environment Court proceedings

Advising developers and landowners on planning strategy

Cara has been recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a Planning and Environment Law Rising Star, reflecting her growing reputation in the field.
She combines strong legal analysis with a practical understanding of the technical and commercial issues that often arise in planning matters, including ecology, bushfire risk and engineering considerations. This allows Cara to provide advice that is both legally sound and grounded in the realities of development and land use projects.
Cara enjoys working closely with clients to identify strategic pathways through complex planning frameworks and to achieve practical outcomes both within and outside court processes.
Outside of work, Cara enjoys spending time outdoors, training her beagle mix and learning to play golf.
